As the college baseball transfer portal opened up following the conclusion of regional play, one of the biggest names to hit the open market has a familiar last name in Clemson Athletics.

Kentucky scored five runs in the third inning and six runs in the fourth inning in its 16-4 victory over No. 11 Clemson in the Clemson Regional at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The Wildcats improved to 31-25, while the Tigers’ season ended with a 45-18 record.

The Tigers play Kentucky on Sunday at noon in an elimination game. Clemson is the designated visiting team.

The Tigers advance into the winners’ bracket to play No. 23 West Virginia on Saturday at 6 p.m. Clemson is the designated home team.

Clemson University students receive free admission (standing-room-only ticket) to all Tiger games in the Clemson Regional by presenting their CUID at the student gate.

The Clemson Tigers (44-16) were one of 16 programs selected to host an NCAA regional for the Division I Baseball Championship, announced Sunday night by the NCAA.
