As Notre Dame fans poured onto the field following the Fighting Irish’s 47-40 win in double overtime, Clemson was left holding onto what could have been.

Minus the top player in college football, true freshman D.J. Uiagalelei orchestrated a 12-play, 74-yard drive, giving then-No. 1 Clemson their first lead of the game, 33-26 with 3:33 left.
