On the performance of the offense:

“We love to see it. That offensive staff puts in hours and hours of work to get the game plan, and we were able to go in tonight and execute.  We still got some things holding us back so once we get those figured out I believe we can do more.”

On offensive heading into conference play

“I feel very confident in the offense right now.  Like I said, we’ve got things to clean up. It's things you can watch film on, and if you’re coachable, you can get in practice and get ready for the game on Saturday.  I believe that’s truly what it comes down to is being coachable, and we’ve got a lot of guys on the offense who want to learn and want to continue to get better.”

On the mentality at halftime:

“I think we just wanted to make it known that we shouldn’t be in a seven-point game with LA Tech, and props to them; they’re a great football team. A lot of respect towards them, Coach Swinney mentioned in the locker room that every single one of their players wrote Bryan (Bresee) a letter.  And there was a special player on their team who had also lost an eleven-year-old sister to a similar situation, and he wrote a letter as well.  So, much props to them, but we just have so much upside, so we knew coming out that we just had to handle our job and play complementary ball.  With the defense, they were giving us the ball, and in our hands, we were just executing.”

On lack of turnovers:

“It's huge. The football is the treasure chest. You can’t drop it, and you can’t lose it. So to have zero turnovers, with the exception of Barrett Carter, I am going to call him out. Whenever you can have zero turnovers, it's great.”

On new stadium lights:

“It was like a first experience for me all over again.  Just looking out there in the dark and seeing side to side filled up all the way up to the brim.  It's just an experience you can’t really explain. You just gotta be in it and appreciate it.”
