Today’s Clemson-Louisville game begins a three-game home stand for the Tigers to end the 2022 regular season. The Tigers are coming off a 35-14 loss to Notre Dame and will be looking to bounce back against a surging Cardinal team. 

Though Clemson's ACC Championship Game berth has been clinched by virtue of tiebreakers, Head Coach Dabo Swinney asserted in the immediate aftermath of a loss to Notre Dame that Clemson still views Saturday's game as an opportunity to truly seize the division crown.

"We want to win the division. We don't want to tie for the division," Swinney said emphatically at Notre Dame. Clemson will get that opportunity Saturday against a Louisville program against which the Tigers are historically unblemished.

Clemson is 7-0 all-time against the Cardinals and will attempt to open a series against an opponent with eight consecutive victories for the second time in program history, joining Clemson's 29-game winning streak to open its all-time series with Virginia.

What a run by Malik Cunningham but he paid the price for it with a big hit to end the half. Something to watch for sure.

That's the fourth 3-and-out on the day forced by the Clemson defense. I've been pleased with the defensive line and how they've gotten after this offense today.

Shipley hurdles a man and runs through two tackles for the touchdown. Wow. He burst out of there like he was shot out of a cannon. 25-yard TD run puts Clemson up 24-7 with 10:25 to play in the 3rd quarter

22-yard FG gets Louisville back within two possessions in Death Valley. Tiger D stands tall in the red zone, which is impressive to see. There's big some big hits today on the QBs.

5:57 left in the third - Tigers leading 24-10.

DJU takes a big sack on the blitz, bringing up 3rd and long and the Tigers will punt. Louisville will get solid field position here trailing by two scores at 24-10 with 4:37 to play in the third.

Malik Cunningham's day is done as he is in street clothes. Meanwhile on the field, this is a huge series. Louisville can cut it to one possession with a score here.

Antonio Williams fumbles after making the reception and a move to try and get the first down. The play is under review. This would be Clemson's second turnover of the game and it looks like it will stand.

A predictable 3rd and 1 QB keeper play loses a yard for DJU and the Tigers will punt. Good play by Momo Sanogo stopping the play. UL hanging around in Death Valley with 13:41 to play in the contest.

Not sure who Brock Domann was trying to get it to there but he threw out of the back of the end zone on 4th down. Tigers will take over leading 24-10 with 10:57 to play in the game.

This offense in the second half was just blah...the first drive or two of the game is what I want to see all the time. Tempo-- aggressive. This second half is like watching paint dry.

A positive today- Clemson's gotten pressure on Louisville, especially in the second half. They've got three sacks and 7 QB Hurries in the game.

Phil Mafah scores and closes this one out. A 39-yard TD run for him and Clemson leads 35-10 with 2:13 to play in the game. If it's been one highlight offensively in the second half, they've been physical in the run game with 248 rushing yards on the day.

And Braden Smith scores with no time left for Louisville.

Outside of that last play defensively, I thought they bounced back in a big way and the defensive line brought the heat throughout the day. Offensively, the run game won the day and DJU managed the game well. The second half performance leaves a little bit more to be desired though.

Tigers will continue to grow from this, moving on to Miami next Saturday in Death Valley.
