Clemson’s defensive front took a hit today as Myles Murphy‍ decided to opt out of the Tigers’ matchup with Tennesee in the Orange Bowl later this month.

Murphy, who had a nice career at Clemson, never seemed to materialize into the dominant disruptor Tiger fans grew accustomed to seeing at defensive end. For Murphy, his measurables, speed, and strength give him the tools to be a force in the NFL as executives really like what they see from his raw ability.
