A 40-yard field goal is no good for the Citadel as it was wide right. Dabo Swinney is giving his defense and earful as they come to the sideline. Bulldogs missed a wide open touchdown right up the seam a few plays earlier.

Cade Klubnik and the Clemson offense get their first opportunity out of the timeout. 9:57 to play in the first quarter. No score.

Before the field goal, the Citadel had it 4th and 2 and were lined up to go for it. But an illegal substitution penalty pushed the Bulldogs back.

Clemson had the ball for 1:47 compared to the Citadel's 13:13 in the first quarter. Clemson's run defense has been less than ideal, to say the least.

The Citadel with a gain of 48 yards of the run, but Aveion Terrell runs him down and ripped the ball out on a hustle play for the sophomore out of Atlanta.

Tigers get it back with 4:27 to play before the half, leading 28-0.

Jay Haynes finds the end zone again from 9 yards out. A 9 play, 80 yard drive taking up 3:33 on the clock. It's good to see the Tigers running the ball well after last week's struggles against Pitt. Tigers with 165 rush yards today so far.

Clemson leads 35-0 with 1:02 to play in the half.

This is what we expected from the Tigers here in Death Valley. Outside of a few plays here and there, it's been a clean half especially offensively. You'll see a lot of backups here in the second half.
