Good afternoon everyone! Hope you are doing well as the Tigers get set to host The Citadel here in about 35 minutes on Military Appreciation Day and Senior Day. The game is on The CW for those at home.

The Citadel with a nice opening drive here so far. They convert a third down on a long 24-yard completion and then they get 15 yards due to a facemask penalty.

A 40-yard field goal is no good for the Citadel as it was wide right. Dabo Swinney is giving his defense and earful as they come to the sideline. Bulldogs missed a wide open touchdown right up the seam a few plays earlier.

Cade Klubnik and the Clemson offense get their first opportunity out of the timeout. 9:57 to play in the first quarter. No score.

Before the field goal, the Citadel had it 4th and 2 and were lined up to go for it. But an illegal substitution penalty pushed the Bulldogs back.

Touchdown Clemson. Cade Klubnik connects with Antonio Williams for a 30-yard TD reception. A quick 5-play, 78 yard drive taking up 1:47.

Tigers lead 7-0 with 8:10 to play first quarter.

END 1Q | Clemson 14, The Citadel 0

Bulldogs have it as we head to the second quarter in Death Valley.

Clemson had the ball for 1:47 compared to the Citadel's 13:13 in the first quarter. Clemson's run defense has been less than ideal, to say the least.

Nice run by Cade Klubnik for a first down. Tigers right at midfield, leading 14-0 with 11 minutes to play before the half.

Jay Haynes to the house. He found a seam right up the middle for a 70-yard score.

All Tigers with 6:07 to play before the half, leading 28-0.

The Citadel with a gain of 48 yards of the run, but Aveion Terrell runs him down and ripped the ball out on a hustle play for the sophomore out of Atlanta.

Tigers get it back with 4:27 to play before the half, leading 28-0.

Jay Haynes finds the end zone again from 9 yards out. A 9 play, 80 yard drive taking up 3:33 on the clock. It's good to see the Tigers running the ball well after last week's struggles against Pitt. Tigers with 165 rush yards today so far.

Clemson leads 35-0 with 1:02 to play in the half.

Pretty safe to say that Phil Mafah's day is done -- you'll obviously need him next week against South Carolina.

HALFTIME | Clemson 35, The Citadel 0

This is what we expected from the Tigers here in Death Valley. Outside of a few plays here and there, it's been a clean half especially offensively. You'll see a lot of backups here in the second half.

Some good. Some bad. No doubt about it.

Being up 35-0 is the best news. This team needs to rest up.

Antonio Williams scores his second touchdown of the afternoon with a 9-yard reception. XP is good. Expect to see the backups here pretty soon with this one well in hand.
