Clemson’s 2027 ACC Opponents Set, Tigers Get Unique Eight-Game Conference Slate

Clemson now knows its full lineup of opponents for the 2027 football season following Wednesday's ACC conference schedule announcement.

Notably, the Tigers occupy a unique position in the league's evolving model as the only ACC program scheduled to play eight conference games in 2027, while the other 16 teams play nine—a rotation that will cycle among member schools in future seasons.

The Tigers will host Boston College, Florida State, Stanford, and Wake Forest, while traveling to face Louisville, NC State, SMU, and Virginia Tech.

Playing eight conference games will not lessen Clemson’s strength of schedule.

To meet the ACC requirement that every team faces at least 10 Power Four opponents, Clemson will rely on a non-conference slate featuring a home game against Notre Dame and its traditional road rivalry at South Carolina.

Non-conference home matchups against Georgia State and Wofford at Death Valley round out the 12-game schedule.

The ACC began moving toward a nine-game conference standard in 2026, when five schools (including Clemson) played eight ACC games alongside two Power Four non-conference matchups.

While Wednesday’s update confirms Clemson's slate under the current structure, the opponent list still aligns with the league's previous long-term plan.

The ACC will release the exact game dates for Clemson’s 2027 schedule at a later time.
