Legendary college football coach Nick Saban’s pending retirement was announced yesterday when ESPN’s Chris Low broke the news, marking the end of a remarkable 17-season tenure at the University of Alabama.

Saban, 72, concludes his illustrious career with a 292-71-1 record as a college head coach, ranking him sixth all-time in FBS wins.
