It appears that business is about to pick up in Clemson as the Tigers’ Elite Junior Day will feature an additional highly sought-after offensive lineman in former Alabama commit Mason Short.
Last week, Head Coach Dabo Swinney and OL Coach Matt Luke stopped by Evans High School (Evans, GA) to visit with the 6’6, 295-pounder, who was committed to the Crimson Tide at the time. Short also visited Georgia while still committed to the Alabama on January 14.
Short opened up his recruitment on January 16 decommiting from Alabama less than one week after Nick Saban announced his retirement. Short was promptly visited by Kirby Smart as the Georgia Head Coach landed in a helicopter on the football field at Evans High.
Then, on Saturday evening, Short posted on his Twitter account that he would be in Clemson this weekend. Short, it still doesn’t have an offer from the Tigers, but that’s just a formality, as it will surely be dispensed during this upcoming visit.
