Three Tigers Earn All-ACC Honors
CLEMSON, S.C. - Three Tigers earned All-ACC honors, announced Monday by the ACC. Aidan Knaak became the first Tiger freshman pitcher to receive First-Team All-ACC honors since 1997 (Ryan Mottl). Blake Wright was a Second-Team All-ACC selection and Cam Cannarella earned Third-Team All-ACC honors.
Knaak (SP) is 5-1 with a 2.96 ERA, .216 opponents' batting average and 97 strikeouts against 26 walks in 73.0 innings pitched over 13 starts. Knaak, who has only allowed 12 extra-base hits, leads the team in starts on the mound, innings pitched and strikeouts. Clemson has a 12-1 record in the Fort Myers' Fla. native's 13 starts. Knaak was named to the All-ACC Freshman team as well.
Wright (2B) is hitting .341 with 21 homers, two triples, eight doubles, 70 RBIs, 62 runs and a .677 slugging percentage in 53 games. The Belleair, Fla. native leads the team in batting average, home runs and RBIs. Wright, who earned Third-Team All-ACC honors in 2022, has a .961 fielding percentage, committing only six errors in 153 chances.
Cannarella (OF), who was a First-Team All-ACC selection in 2023, is hitting .332 with 16 doubles, two triples, nine homers, 51 RBIs, 50 runs and a .411 on-base percentage in 51 games. The Hartsville, S.C. native has 25 multiple-hit games, including seven three-hit games, and 14 multiple-RBI games.
