Bryce Davis Chooses Clemson

The Clemson football program landed a blue-chip commit today as Bryce Davis‍, a four-star defensive end, announced his intentions to join the program. Hailing from Greensboro, North Carolina, Davis is an exceptional pass rusher. Standing 6'4 and weighing 240 pounds, Davis was a top target for Clemson coaches Nick Eason (defensive line) and Chris Rumph (defensive ends).

Davis is a top-ten Edge recruit in the nation and the sixth top-75 prospect (On3 industry consensus) that the Tigers landed in the 2025 class (Isaiah Campbell‍, Ari Watford‍, Amare Adams‍, Tae Harris‍, and Gideon Davidson‍). Davis and Watford are among the nation's top ten edge recruits and will help continue Clemson's tradition of high-level recruiting on the defensive front.

Clemson's 2025 class is now sixth in the nation and has 14 total commits. The class ranks first in the ACC (On3) and has a 91.31 rating. Clemson's blue-chip ratio in this class is 71%, which shows that the Tigers still win their share of elite recruits in the new NIL era.

Tale of the tape:

Davis showcases spectacular "get-off" and has elite first-step quickness. His pass rush reps jump out on his junior year reel early and often. He lives in the backfield and does an excellent job getting his hands up and into passing lanes. Davis is an aggressive tackler in the run game and can play both on the interior and exterior of the defensive line.

He will likely play on the exterior at Clemson for coach Chris Rumph, who has made a splash by landing both Watford and Davis in his first eight months on the job. Rumph's immediate success shows defensive recruiting at Clemson has taken a step forward since his addition.
