Young Misses Clemson's All-In Cookout, Breaks Down his Final Schools
Clemson's All-In Cookout kicked off on Friday with a bang as linebacker Logan Anderson from Fyffe High in (Ala.) announced his commitment to the Tigers.
Anderson and four-star receiver Dillon Alfred, from Saraland High (AL), were the only uncommitted 2025 prospects to attend the event this year, joining ten commits from the class.

One uncommitted recruit who Tigers fans may have anticipated being on campus this weekend is Monroe High's Jordan Young. The four-star safety instead made the trip from Monroe, NC to Raleigh for N.C. State's annual Alpha Wolf Recruiting Showcase on Friday.
The Wolfpack gave Young his first offer and got him to commit to the Showcase.
"They asked first," said Derek Young, Young's father, on why his son was headed to Raleigh.
"That's how he chose which one to go to," noted Derek on Thursday.
Young has over 30 offers, including from the Tigers, Alabama, FSU, LSU, Miami, Michigan, and N.C. State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, and others.
He is down to Clemson, FSU, N.C. State, and Michigan, after taking official visits to each school and will commit on Oct. 12, his birthday.
Besides being on State's campus on Friday, the 2025 All-American Bowl game East team member is expected to attend a game there and at each school for the upcoming season.
Young took his official visit to Clemson on May 31-June 2 and saw the Tigers lose the 24-31 overtime thriller to FSU on Sept. 23, 2023.
We caught up with Young briefly on Thursday at Monroe High. He was able to discuss each finalist before stepping on the practice field.
Clemson: "The program is known for its strong emphasis on academics as well as athletics, which is important to me. I was impressed by the team's culture and how welcoming everyone was during my visit. The city around the university also offers a lot of opportunities and a great living environment."
FSU: "Has a rich history and tradition in football. The energy in the stadium during games is electric, and I can see myself thriving in that environment. The coaching staff has a clear vision for the program's future and has made me feel like an integral part of that vision."
N.C. State: "The coaching staff has been incredibly supportive and consistent throughout the recruitment process. Their track record of developing players and winning championships speaks for itself. My visit was fantastic; the facilities are top-notch, and the campus atmosphere felt like home."
Michigan: "The facilities are some of the best in the country, and their investment in the program is evident. The coaches have a great reputation for preparing players for the next level. I also had a great time meeting the current players, who made me feel like part of the family."
Young concluded, "I’m really excited about my final choices. Each one has something special that drew me in. Each school offers a unique combination of excellent coaching, supportive environments, and the resources I need to succeed both on and off the field."
