“Tiger Sports Hour with Dabo Swinney" will air Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET on the Clemson Athletic Network and on 105.5 The Roar. Listen to a snippet from tonight’s show as Swinney and host Don Munson share a laugh about former Clemson Tiger offensive lineman Isaiah Battle

On fall camp:

“I love it. I mean, it's truly when your team just comes together. You got the summer, and they're going, and all they said, but they get their workouts. They hang around, but then they're going like in the coaches were limited on what we can do. But you get into camp. There's no rules. There's no 20-hour rule. There's no classes. We're here from eight o'clock in the morning to 9:30 at night, 10 o'clock at night. We just do football-life together. It's eating, it's practicing, it's meetings, just, you know, all kinds of stuff. That's my favorite part, because you really get a chance to just spend all this time together."

On the new two-minute warning rule:

"I think it's great. As a positive, we get four timeouts, so I love that. I think there's strategy involved because if you've got one time-out left, how do you manage that? Especially if you have three timeouts, then you probably have a good opportunity to maybe burn one of those because, typically, you wouldn't really start using your timeouts until you got under that two-minute situation. There's a lot to be thought through, but I feel like we have a good plan."

On the freshmen he expects to have an impact:

"I think (Bryant) Wesco is one that just jumps out. He's ready to roll. So I'm excited to see him out there. TJ (Moore) is really close to taking that next step that we need him to take. I'm excited to see him like Jay Haynes. I mean, he's not a true freshman, but he might as well be because he was out all last year. Sammy Brown is a guy that I think we're all excited about. I'd say Ashton Hampton is a guy in the secondary that I think, you know, has a chance to really help us this year."

On Cade Klubnik:

"I think he's grown a lot. It's (the end of the season) carried over into the offseason. He's just a great kid. He really loves football. He's a gym rat. You are going to have some challenges as a first-year starter. Not everything's going to always go perfect, but I think what separates good ones from great ones is the great ones grow and get better. They learn from their mistakes."

On WR Cole Turner:

“Getting Cole back is huge for us. I mean, he's the fastest kid on the team. That kid can fly. He really changes things for us when we have him available. So I'm really happy to have him in that group.”

On WR T.J. Moore:

"That guy's silky. I've said this many times, everything he does is natural. He's closed the gap from a knowledge standpoint. It's just fun to see his natural skill set take over. This kid is going to be a really, really great player. He's going to really come on and help us as we go throughout the year for sure."

On WR Noble Johnson:

”Really just had some maturing to do. I would say he physically is gifted—physically, if you see him, you go, ‘wow’. But the mentality and the mindset didn't match up with the physical part. That's where he needed to mature and I'm really proud of him because he's worked his butt off this summer. He's been all about his business this fall camp.”

On backup QB Christopher Vizzina:

“I'll say this about CV, CV is a natural. His pocket presence, it's just instinctive to him. It's very, very natural for him as far as stepping up, when to slide, when to run. I think you'll see that when he has the opportunity to play. So I'm pleased with his development as well.”
