Blake Hebert decommits from Clemson, pledges to Fighting Irish

Blake Hebert‍, a four-star quarterback from Lawrence, Massachusetts, has decommitted from Clemson and announced his commitment to Notre Dame. Hebert, who had been committed to the Tigers since June 2023, was once seen as a cornerstone of Clemson’s 2025 recruiting class. Hebert currently plays for Brunswick School in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Hebert’s decommitment is a significant shift for Clemson, which had hoped to pair Hebert with four-star running back Gideon Davidson‍ to build a formidable offensive duo. The Tigers do not currently have a 2025 quarterback in the class. However, Clemson currently has two quarterbacks committed in the 2026 class: four-star Tait Reynolds‍ and three-star Brock Bradley‍.

Notre Dame has gained one of the top quarterbacks in the nation, and Clemson will have to retool its recruiting strategy moving forward. The Irish needed to add a 2025 quarterback after Deuce Knight‍ flipped his pledge to Auburn recently.
