On Bryant Wesco’s status: “Yeah, been out there every day, getting better. Same thing, day to day, a little better each day.”

On Shelton Lewis’ play this season: “Just corner and nickel, same as he's done all year, nothing different. Just corner and nickel, that's his position. He's had some good moments, and he's had some other times where we need to do a little bit better, but I mean, he's a very good player. Obviously, he had an injury they had to overcome and missed a ton of camp. Yeah, he's nickel corner, that's what he is.”

On evaluating the pass rush: “There's been a lot of good pass rush. There's been a lot of times where we've seen a ton of quick game—and the ball has gotten out. But we've had a lot of quarterback pressures, a lot of quarterback hits. The biggest thing I'd like to see is some of those quarterback hits become sacks. There's been some times we've had them in the grasp and the quarterback's been able to get rid of the ball. We've missed probably three or four of those. So just finishing a little bit on some of those quarterback hits. But as far as the pressure, we've definitely affected the quarterback all year.”

On Khalil Barnes playing nickel: “I mean, it's week to week. Every week, you're just trying to get your best players in position. Sometimes, it's in-game, depending on how guys are playing. We've got a lot of good players. It's competitive, and (guys) deserve to play. That's kinda how we started the season. But KG (Kylon Griffin) hadn't really played well—all of a sudden, he's not on the field. We had a little game that came up and we had a few plays hit on us at the nickel spot. We put KG in there, and he made a big play and kinda settled in. But I mean, it's week to week. We've got good players, and they're all competing. There's no lifetime contracts for anybody out there. But as far as Khalil, he plays three positions for us. He can play either safety or nickel. So that gives you a lot of flexibility when you got players like that. Especially when you got really good competition. So all these guys are trying to compete to get on the field. And some weeks, some guys are better than others, and you keep moving forward. Everybody's gotta perform to the standard that we need.”
