Good evening everyone! We are a little over a half hour away from a big ACC showdown in Death Valley between Clemson and Louisville. The Tigers are off the bye and I'm sure everyone is excited to see what happens now that the Tigers have had a week off.

Louisville won the toss and defers until the 2nd half. We'll see Cade Klubnik and the Clemson offense first.

Clemson goes 3-and-out on their first series. A false start penalty hurt the drive there. Louisville gets their first possession at their own 38. 12:46 to play in the opening quarter.

Good coverage on the outside from Louisville on 3rd down as Klubnik tried to hit TJ Moore, but the pass falls incomplete.

A slow start offensively for Clemson, for sure. Louisville with the ball with 6:30 to play in the opening quarter. We are scoreless in Death Valley.

Timeout Louisville as the play clock was down to 2 seconds. The Cards get a big play on a reverse and are in the red zone looking to get points. It will be 3rd and 1 with 4:59 to play in the first when play resumes.

Clemson converts the fourth and short but we've got a lengthy delay now for an injury to a Louisville player. Medical staff for both teams have been out for awhile.

Touchdown Louisville. Tyler Shough runs it in on the scramble from 4 yards out. He couldn't find anyone open -- good play to escape and make something happen.

Clemson's defensive line is getting pushed around right now against a short handed offensive line from the Cards. Louisville scores on a 1-yard run from Keyjuan Brown. That's an important score because the Cards will get the ball to start the second half.

Louisville 17, Clemson 7, 43 seconds left before the half.

HALFTIME | Louisville 17, Clemson 7

Louisville has 133 yards rushing. Clemson's defense is not doing a great job tackling in space and offensively, the explosive plays we've seen from the Tigers the first few weeks since the UGA game aren't there.

We knew coming in that this would be the biggest challenge Clemson has faced since the UGA game and the Tigers have not responded to the challenge well so far.

Louisville 23, Clemson 7 after Brock Travelstead's 40 yard FG

8 plays
37 yards
3:25 off the clock

Tigers will get the ball back, obviously needing to get something going offensively as it's been tough sledding in Death Valley so far this evening. 171 yards of offense right now for Clemson's offense.

Clemson is stuffed on 4th and short on their own 35 yard line. What a play by the Louisville defense.

Cardinals dominating every facet of this game right now, up 23-7.

It's now a three-score game in Death Valley. Clemson will have to air it out now and the prospects of that doesn't look good as the Tigers are under 100 yards passing on the night. Not good all the way around for the Tigers.

END 3Q | Louisville 26, Clemson 7

Clemson will need to mount a big time fourth quarter comeback as it has been all Cardinals here in the third quarter. Tigers have the ball with a chance to cut into the deficit as we head to the final quarter in Death Valley.

Another field goal is blocked by the Cardinals as the Tigers try to cut into the lead and that about sums up the night for Clemson.

One thing I noticed is that Clemson didn't any urgency getting plays in, and fans are getting restless. Which I can't blame them. A really bad night for a team coming off a bye week looking to continue to make more noise and aspire to make the CFP.

Those hopes are dashing quickly with 12 minutes to play in the contest.

Louisville 26, Clemson 14 after Phil Mafah's 3-yard TD run.

Not sure why the Tigers didn't elect to go for two to cut it to 11 there.

Louisville has the ball, up 33-21 as we have reached the two minute timeout. Mafah has been the one bright spot offensively as he has 171 yards and two touchdowns but this one has been majority Cards throughout the night.

FINAL | Louisville 33, Clemson 21

The Tigers run into a buzzsaw tonight against a Cardinals team that outplayed and outcoached the Tigers as they came off the bye week. Clemson will have to regroup for a road trip to Blacksburg next Saturday.
