CLEMSON -- Clemson's bats have been on fire this weekend, and Drew Wharton got in on the action in game one of a doubleheader. The senior from Suwanee, Georgia hit two three-run homer runs leading No. 11 Clemson to a 9-1 win over No. 10 Dallas Baptist.

For Wharton, his six RBIs were a career high, and he helped Clemson to a four-run second inning with his three-run blast.

Moments later it was freshman Bryce Teodosio knocking his first career home run out of the park and energizing the Tiger faithful.

Teodosio also made a highlight reel catch early on in the contest, exemplifying why we believe he is a player to watch this season.

The Tigers clinched the series and look for a sweep later this afternoon. Clemson moves to 6-0 on the season and the Patriots who were undefeated when they arrived in Tiger Town fall to 3-2.

Clemson has played well both offensively and defensively in the series. The Tigers have jumped on Dallas Baptist at the plate early, while Clemson's pitching has been crisp.

Surprisingly, Clemson has outscored the Patriots 21-2 in the series.

In the third inning, Robert Jolly hit a run-scoring single, then Wharton connected for another three-run homer, his third long ball of the season.

Brooks Crawford (1-0) picked up the win, allowing just three hits and no runs during his five innings of work. Spencer Strider pitched the final 3.0 innings recording his first career save.

The series concludes with the second game of the doubleheader at approximately 5 p.m.
