Clemson’s running back room took a hit as redshirt sophomore Jarvis Green is expected to miss most—if not all—of the 2025 football season after undergoing surgery on his foot.

Head coach Dabo Swinney provided the update following Thursday’s fall camp practice.

“The only serious injury we've had is Jarvis Green. He's going to probably be out most of the year. So we had to do surgery on his foot. So he'll have a chance to come back at the end of the season,” Swinney said. “Hate that for him. I really do. You know, but that's the only serious injury we've had. You know, other ones are, you know, short-term type things.”

Swinney remains hopeful that the sophomore could return late in the year, but acknowledged the setback is significant for both the player and the team.

“I just hate it for Jarvis because, I mean, he was in a position to compete,” Swinney noted.
