Clemson head coach Brad Brownell continues to build momentum on the recruiting trail, landing his second 2026 commitment in as many weeks. On Friday, four-star guard Harris Reynolds of St. Pius X Catholic High School (Atlanta, Ga.) announced his commitment to the Tigers.
The 6-foot-5 combo guard chose Clemson over Saint Louis, South Florida, VCU, and Virginia Tech after taking official visits to all five schools this fall. Reynolds visited Clemson on Aug. 30, kicking off a busy stretch that also included trips to Virginia Tech (Sept. 5), South Florida (Sept. 19), VCU (Sept. 26), and Saint Louis (Oct. 2).
Reynolds, who held more than 20 scholarship offers, told ClemsonSportsTalk.com in July that playing time was a major factor in his recruitment.
“Something that's really important is I want to come and make an immediate impact as a freshman — get an opportunity to play,” Reynolds said. “I don't want to come in and be at the end of the bench.”
That opportunity could be readily available in Clemson’s backcourt. The Tigers are set to lose veteran guards Jestin Porter (graduate), Dillon Hunter (senior), and Butta Johnson (senior) after the upcoming season, leaving minutes open for a high-upside freshman like Reynolds to contribute early.
Once a little-known three-star prospect, he catapulted up national rankings after a dominant summer showing. At the Georgia Basketball Coaches Association (GBCA) Southeast Regional at LakePoint Sports in Emerson, Ga. (June 27–29), Reynolds, now ranked No. 114 overall in the 247 Composite Rankings and No. 16 among all shooting guards, averaged over 25 points per game across three contests.
With his commitment, Reynolds becomes the second member of Clemson’s 2026 class, joining Davidson Day School center Will Stevens, who announced his pledge on Oct. 11.
