Clemson continued to build its roster through the transfer portal on Monday with the addition of transfer David Fuchs, a proven frontcourt presence from the University of San Francisco.

Fuchs earned All-WCC Second Team honors and was named Newcomer of the Year after averaging 12.7 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists as a junior. The Vienna, Austria native developed into one of the league’s most efficient interior players, using his frame and touch to consistently produce around the basket.

He recorded eight double-doubles, including a season-best 23-point, 16-rebound performance in an 82-65 victory over Portland. His scoring ability was further highlighted in two wins over Pacific, where he poured in 30 and 29 points.

Fuchs finished second on the team in scoring but led the Dons in total rebounds (225), field goal percentage (51.7), free throws made (118), and free throws attempted (183), reinforcing his impact as a physical presence inside.

From a scouting standpoint, Fuchs projects as a versatile frontcourt option capable of playing both the four and five. He thrives on the block, finishes through contact, and runs the floor effectively, making him a strong option in pick-and-roll situations and in transition.

His perimeter shooting remains limited, though he posted career highs last season with 33 attempts, 10 makes, and a 30.3% clip from three-point range. Rim protection is not a primary strength, with 29 career blocks, and improving his 65% free-throw percentage will be an area of focus for Clemson’s staff.

Fuchs joins a transfer group that features Notre Dame shooting guard Cole Certa, TCU forward Liutauras Lelevicius, and Samford forward Dylan Faulkner. The additions provide Clemson with a mix of interior scoring, perimeter shooting, and defensive versatility heading into the 2026–27 season.
