Jack Leggett is getting back on the baseball diamond.

According to Baseball America, the former Clemson coach has been selected to coach USA Baseball's 18U National team.

The successful 18U team is coming off an impressive 2017 gold medal in the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) World Cups. This was their fourth consecutive world cup gold medal and the team has won seven consecutive international events.

"Leggett has a high bar set in front of him thanks to the success of the 18U program since 2011—including one of the most dominant teams in recent years coming in 2017," Carlos Collazo writes. "The 64-year old is more than equipped to handle the position, however, with an extensive track record of success at the collegiate level, where he led Clemson to 955 wins, 21 NCAA Tournament appearances and six College World Series appearances from 1994-2015."

This opportunity is a dream for Leggett, who hasn't coached since 2015.

"I am tremendously proud to head to the Pan American Championships with this team to showcase our brand of baseball to the world," Leggett said.

While Leggett's staff is in place, the final roster won't be set until the end of June.
