CBS Sports writer Chip Patterson is sold on this season's Clemson football team.

With the over/under set at eleven, Patterson took the over for the Tigers in 2018 feeling that Clemson will run the table in the regular season this year.

The analyst set the expectations high, saying:

"If they are not competing for a National Championship in the College Football Playoff then something has gone horribly wrong with the way that Clemson has managed the quarterback position."

Patterson is also confident in both of Clemson's options at quarterback:

"I think Clemson has two incredible options between Kelly Bryant and Trevor Lawrence. I find myself a little more bullish on Kelly Bryant than most, and I think that if they can figure out a way to get both players going at the same time, the other twenty-one spots on the field, Casey, are just National Championship caliber."

Clemson opens the 2018 season against Furman on September 1st at 12:20 PM on the ACC Network.

Going undefeated is going to be tough. Even the title winning team got tripped up. Just saying.

I tend to agree, but I also think that this defensive group is going to make it awfully tough for the Tigers to get beat. In all honesty, how many points might they yield per game? I'd guess less than 12 per game in the regular season.
