Clemson vs. Texas A&M ranked top ACC non-conference game
The Atlantic Coast Conference has a rule that ensures all fourteen teams play at least one non-conference Power 5 opponent, which makes for some intriguing matchups.
Athlon Sports ranked the best non-conference games on the ACC schedule, and Clemson's date with Texas A&M on September 8th clocked in at No. 1. The Palmetto Bowl with South Carolina at the end of the year was also on the list at No. 8.

Here's what Athlon had to say about these matchups:
1. Clemson @ Texas A&M - September 8, 2018
The Aggies return 14 starters and have two exciting options at quarterback. But we all know those things are not what makes this game interesting. This matchup is all about Jimbo Fisher, who left Florida State at the end of last season, hosting the team that dethroned his Seminoles as the ACC's marquee program.
8. Clemson vs South Carolina
Little by little, year by year, the Gamecocks are getting better under head coach Will Muschamp. And this year, quarterback Jake Bentley gets star receiver Deebo Samuel back from injury. Still, the Gamecocks were thumped by the Tigers 34-10 in Williams-Brice Stadium last year and this year a stronger Clemson team will host the game at Death Valley.
