Elite Georgia Cornerback Commits to Clemson
Clemson's 2019 recruiting class was already good. It just got a whole lot better as five-star cornerback Andrew Booth Jr. from Lawrenceville, GA has committed to the Tigers over Auburn.
As we mentioned earlier today, current Clemson commit Sheridan Jones spent a lot of time with Booth at Clemson and felt good about where the Tigers stood with the Archer High School star.
The state of Georgia has been good to Clemson in recent years, and they managed a big coup with Booth. Booth's offer list is a who's who of programs, including Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, LSU, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Wisconsin.
Booth is an athletic specimen, who possesses the physicality to make solo tackles. He has the instincts and skills to stick in coverage and jump routes and is a playmaker once he gets the ball in his hands.
247's composite ratings have him listed as a five-star prospect.
Booth's recruitment has taken twists and turns since Clemson offered him a year ago, but the Tigers were in early and stayed on the star prospect and his commitment brings Clemson's 2019 class to 22 players.
We will have more on the 6'1" 188-pound cornerback's decision to play in Tiger Town coming for ClemsonSportsTalk.com Premium subscribers.
