Tigers tabbed as No. 2 in Preseason Coaches Poll, Crimson Tide at the top
The Preseason Coaches Poll was released earlier today and Clemson checks in at the No. 2 spot. Familiar foe Alabama sits atop the poll at No. 1.
The Crimson Tide enter the season on the heels of their fifth national championship under coach Nick Saban. Alabama was voted first on 61 of 65 votes. This is the third consecutive season that Saban's squad has entered the season ranked No. 1 in the Coaches Poll.
Of the remaining first-place votes, Clemson picked up three and Ohio State got one.
