Hate it for Spence, but those weren't overly difficult kicks. 2-6 isn't going to cut it.

A New Kicker gets a shot to prove himself at Clemson
Following today's practice Coach Dabo Swinney said that Drew Costa, a senior Bioengineering major, who had tried out for the kicking job a few years ago would get a shot. Swinney said, "I told him he is on a day to day contract, kick to kick contract. You know in the NBA they got those 10-day contracts. I told him you are on a day to day, kick to kick contract. He is a really good kid. He tried out two years ago or three years ago and we really liked him."
Clemson lost starting kicker Greg Huegel several weeks ago and backup Alex Spence hasn't had the best start, going 2-6 on the year. Spence missed two kicks in the Tigers' 27-24 loss to Syracuse last weekend.
