While changes were made at quarterback in Clemson, Phommachanh is still ready to compete

Now that the dust has settled a bit and senior Kelly Bryant will transfer and freshman Trevor Lawrence will start his first game on Saturday against Syracuse, Clemson is left with three quarterbacks to finish out the season. 

Redshirt freshman Chase Brice is now the sole backup to Lawrence and former walk-on Ben Batson, son of Joey Batson, the director of strength and conditioning, is the third string quarterback. 

Looking ahead to 2019, head coach Dabo Swinney will have the three quarterbacks and four-star commit Taisun Phommachanh from Connecticut.
