ACC baseball tournament schedule released: Clemson enters as No. 8 seed
Clemson baseball begins ACC Tournament play this week on Tuesday morning as Monte Lee’s squad will face No. 12 seed Boston College at 11 a.m. at Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham, N.C.
Clemson won their series against the Eagles back during the weekend on March 22, winning the first two games 8-1 and 9-5 before dropping the final game, 2-3.
The Tigers will also face Louisville, who is in their pool as the No. 1 overall seed on Thursday morning at 11 a.m. Clemson won their series against the Cardinals 5-1 and 6-3 before dropping the final game 7-4 in 11 innings.
The ACC Tournament is set up as a pool-play format with four teams in a single elimination bracket which determines the champion of the league. Every team plays two opponents in their pool. The team with the best record in the pool will advance to Saturday’s semifinal. If Clemson were to advance after the pool play, they would go against the Pool D winner at 1 p.m. culminating with the championship game next Sunday at noon.
All games will be televised by RSN.
