Per multiple reports, former Clemson running back Tavien Feaster will transfer to South Carolina and join Will Muschamp’s Gamecocks as a graduate transfer for the 2019 season. Feaster finishes his Clemson career with 1,330 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns.

Feaster will compete with returning running backs A.J. Turner, Rico Dowdle and Mon Denson for playing time.

Feaster’s arrival at Clemson was met with great fanfare as the former Spartanburg High star picked the Tigers over Tennessee and Auburn. A five-star commit, Feaster was given C.J. Spiller’s retired No. 28 jersey so that he could continue to wear his high school number.

When the news came out that Feaster entered the transfer portal, Dabo Swinney said, “We appreciate Tavien for everything he brought to Clemson University and our program, and we wish him nothing but the best moving forward.”

Feaster is finishing up his remaining summer coursework at Clemson in order to be cleared academically to graduate next week. He will receive his bachelor’s degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management.

As for Clemson, Lyn-J Dixon will most likely benefit the most picking up additional carries behind starter Travis Etienne.

Hope the best for him. I do not think he made the best choice but it is done. Time will tell. Tiger fans are hurt but will get over it. I hope Tiger fans will not make bad comments . We are better than the Gamecocks. GO TIGERS. Tiger fans are the best.

Well chicken poop. Good luck. Hope he has 11 good games this year.

Just an odd question... Can he redshirt this yr and play 1 1/3 yrs as a gamecock? Gamecocks are loaded with Seniors this yr and he will be fresh into the new system and playbook. He would probably be a superstar in 2020 as a red senior and the upgrade at qb.

Or if he doesn't like it in the chicken coop can he redshirt and transfer again next yr?

Of course we all wish Feaster well, he is a human being. However, why did he have to pick the losers from Columbia, our little sister? There is zero benefit other than immediate carries. Now some have commented about "feeding his family". Feediing his family would have been with us, where he needs player development. Going to play for our rival after three years at Clemson is treason. Let's be honest, his issue was ego and pride. I am not on board, not a fan. This skipping around to whomever suits in the NCAA is ridiculous. I guess he was never #ALLIN.
