Seth Beer traded, former Clemson Tiger part of blockbuster MLB deal
Former Clemson baseball players Seth Beer was a part of a blockbuster trade in Major League Baseball today.
Beer's former team, the Houston Astros acquired right-hander former Cy Young winner Zack Greinke from the Arizona Diamondbacks for four prospects according to ESPN's Jeff Passan. Beer is one of the four prospects in the deal.
Beer was playing at AA Corpus Christie. This season through 63 games he is hitting .299 with 16 homers and 52 RBI's.
As for Houston, they add Greinke to a rotation that includes Justin Verlander and Gerrit Cole.
