Thursday practice update

August 22, 2019

Dabo Swinney met with the media after practice this evening as Clemson is finally a week away from its opener against Georgia Tech. Here are a few notes from the session.

-- Swinney said Derion Kendrick is back healthy and has been back since the weekend.

Said he and the staff were extremely cautious with him and could not afford a setback, especially when dealing with a hamstring. Swinney added that Kendrick will be the cornerback to run out there first with A.J. Terrell.

More on this later, but Swinney knows that first-year coach of the Yellow Jackets Geoff Collins would be foolish to not go after Kendrick early and often in the passing game.
