Paul Finebaum has made some strong comments about the Clemson Tigers over the past several months, and that continued on Monday during his radio show.
Finebaum was comparing Jimbo Fisher and Dabo Swinney ahead of this weekend’s matchup between the Tigers and Aggies. In a segment where he was discussing who was the better coach between the two national championship-winning coaches, Finebaum stated.
“With all due respect, he’s a better coach than Dabo Swinney. Dabo may have a great staff, but I’ll take Jimbo any day in a runoff and can he pull some magic out? He’s going to need help to win this game. If I’m sitting there at any school, and I have the choice between Jimbo and Dabo, (it’s) not even close.”
During the segment, the two other hosts are almost flabbergasted at the statements being made by the SEC Network’s biggest mouthpiece.
One thing has become clear. No matter how absurd the comments might be, Finebaum is happy to see them noticed.
The Tigers and Aggies face off Saturday afternoon at 3:30 in Death Valley.
