Clemson, S.C. - The Clemson women’s soccer team returns home to Historic Riggs Field after three consecutive matches on the road against top-25 opponents. Entering the solo weekend matchup against Syracuse (3-8-2, 1-4-1 ACC), the Clemson Tigers sit at 8-4-1 season with a 2-4 mark within the conference. Kick-off against the Orange is set for 7 p.m. on October 19 with coverage on ACCNX and live stats available through Stat Broadcast.

Clemson By The Numbers

Despite dropping their last three ranked matchups, the Tigers remain one of the toughest competitors in the conference. Renee Guion added another assist to her 2019 season against No. 11 Duke, moving her season total to 10 and placing her one assist shy of tying former Tiger Sam Staab for individual assists in a year. The Tigers look to capitalize on the home field advantage as they currently hold a 6-1-1 record at Historic Riggs Field.

Scouting Syracuse

The Orange have only managed to produce three wins on the season thus far, with two of them coming in their first two games of the season against Colgate and Siena. However, their most recent victory came last week as they downed Wake Forest by a 2-1 margin at home. Despite minimal marks in the wins column, Syracuse has been lead by Meghan Root who has produced three goals and one assist alongside 23 shots. Between the posts, Lysianne Proulx has started every game for the ‘Cuse while conceding 17 goals with a .795 goals against average.

Program alumni will join the weekend festivities as the team honors 25 years of Clemson women’s soccer. Alumni will be welcomed onto the field at halftime as we take a look back through the years. Saturday’s game will also mark Breast Cancer Awareness Night as the first 400 fans will receive pink Clemson hats.
