Nick Saban at the National Championship

For the first time in five years, Nick Saban and his Alabama squad didn't take the field for the National Championship game.

But despite that fact, you could still catch Saban attending the game this year as ESPN College Gameday’s celebrity guest. Alabama’s head coach broke down the necessary steps that both LSU and Clemson need to make to win this game. It was a strange sight to see him on the stage and not on the field coaching. 

The funniest moment though? Saban’s face when Lee Corso made his pick, putting on the headgear of the LSU Tigers. You could feel the tension from a mile away.
