Clemson Softball Game Notes: Diamond 9 Citrus Classic I
THE LEAD
• Clemson will look to rebound after falling 3-2 at UNCG on Tuesday (Feb. 18) as it heads to Kissimmee, Florida for the Diamond 9 Citrus Classic I.
• The D9 Citrus Classic I marks the second neutral-site tournament for the Tigers this season. Clemson opened its inaugural season at UCF's Black & Gold tournament in Orlando, Florida at UCF Softball Complex. The ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and the UCF Softball Complex are just 35 miles apart.
• RHP/UT Valerie Cagle and RHP Logan Caymol were named ACC Player and Pitcher of the Week (Feb. 17), respectively.
• Clemson went 4-0 last weekend at Clemson Softball Stadium as it was one of six designated sites for Big Ten/ ACC Challenge action. Clemson hosted Pitt, Maryland and Michigan State.
ACC NETWORK
• Three Clemson games are set to stream on ACC Network this season, which including Clemson's inaugural home opener, a doubleheader against Western Carolina which Clemson split 1-1 on Feb. 12.
• The Tigers will also face NC State (March 22) and Florida State (April 19) on ACC Network.

SOLD OUT CROWD
• Clemson currently ranks fourth in the NCAA in home attendance with an average of 1,561 per game (through Feb. 19).
• The Tigers are behind only No. 5 Arizona, Auburn, who is receiving votes in the latest NFCA Coaches Poll, and No. 6 LSU.
• Clemson Softball Stadium sold out its inaugural home opener. The official attendance listed was 1,616 spectators.
• Clemson also sold out five of its first six home games at Clemson Softball Stadium.
CAGLE, CAYMOL SWEEP ACC WEEKLY HONORS
• Freshman RHP/UT Valerie Cagle and freshman RHP Logan Caymol were tabbed the ACC Player and Pitcher of the Week (Feb. 17), respectively.
• Both Cagle and Caymol led Clemson to a 5-1 week in the Tigers’ first six games at Clemson Softball Stadium, and an undefeated slate in Big Ten/ACC Challenge (Feb. 14-16) action.
• Cagle led the Tigers in batting average (.500) and RBI (13), and tied for a team-best four home runs. In Clemson’s 21-2 win over Maryland on Saturday, Cagle went off with two homers, including a grand slam, eight RBIs, and went 4-for-5 at the plate.
• Caymol went 4-0 with three starts and surrendered just one run in her 18.0 innings of work. • She also tallied 25 strikeouts, including 11 strikeouts in her complete-game no-hitter in the Tigers' 8-0 win over Western Carolina (Feb. 12).
