Another Clemson wideout is headed to the NFL as the Cincinnati Bengals selected Tee Higgins with the first pick of the 2nd round. The Bengals selected the 6'4" 216-pound wideout with the 33rd pick.

Higgins joins the No. 1 overall pick and Heisman winner Joe Burrow with the Bengals.

NFL.com describes Higgins: "Long, angular frame with cheat-code body control and ball skills when attacking downfield. Higgins is leggy getting off of the press, but those same leggy strides are weapons of separation that help create big plays. He's played all three receiver spots and can be moved around to match up against cornerbacks. His size and "above the rim" talent make him a uniquely dangerous playmaker deep and in the red zone. The transition to NFL press corners will be an early challenge that could take some time to solve, but he's an instinctive ball-winner whose traits should win out and make him a very good NFL starter."

According to ClemsonTigers.com:

"Talented wideout who produced one of the school's most impressive sophomore campaigns in 2018 in his first full year as a starter and followed up with a spectacular junior campaign to place himself among the top receivers in Clemson's illustrious lineage at the position … finished his three-year career from 2017-19 with 135 career receptions for 2,448 yards with 27 receiving touchdowns over 1,279 snaps in 43 games (30 starts) … his 27 career receiving touchdowns tied for the most in school history with DeAndre Hopkins and Sammy Watkins and tied for ninth-most in ACC history … selected as a second-team Preseason All-American for 2019 by both Phil Steele and Athlon … departed as the only player in school history to record double-digit touchdown receptions in consecutive seasons."

Dabo Swinney: “Tee Higgins is as complete a receiver as we’ve had come out of Clemson. I think he’s in the same category as Williams when it comes to being a complete receiver and you’re talking about size, speed, athleticism, catch radius, ball skills, ability to lean on people, body control and all of those type of things. He’s as complete a receiver as we’ve had come out of here. Tee is a great kid and a Day One starter.”
