Before the decadent years of the Dabo Swinney era, there was the 1981 Clemson Tigers, the football team that put a small town in the upstate of South Carolina on the map. It was a small receiver from Lexington, N.C. who caught the most important pass in Clemson history this side of Hunter Renfrow that stamped Clemson Orange and Regalia on the national consciousness.
