On commitment to Clemson:

“It’s truly a blessing.”

On the transition from high school quarterback to college running back:

”I think there is going to be a transition, from taking the ball from the center as opposed to getting it from the quarterback. Other than that, it’s just getting the ball and then doing what I've been coached to do.”

On when he knew he had talent as a football player:

“ It was at a point in middle school. I was in sixth grade playing on the seventh-grade team, and I was kind of having some success, and it just kind of hit me. The coaches were talking to me and said, ‘You have a lot of potential to do some great things.’”

On his relationship with Coach Danny Pearman:

”We have a lot of fun together whenever he comes to visit. My family enjoys talking to him. We have a lot of fun together. He was excited when I talked to him. He was happy for me, and he loved me as all the coaches have. That was a great feeling.”

On the possibility of taking a redshirting his freshman year:

“If that's what the coaches think is best for me, I'll be glad to take it because all it is is an extra year to get stronger, get faster, learn and become an even better player. So if it does happen, I'll just take it and keep moving, but if not, I'm still gonna try and work and do my best to compete and earn my job.”

Thinking about adding to legacy of Clemson RBs:

“It’s a great opportunity. Just gotta go out and make the most of it and do what you’re supposed to do. When that opportunity arises, you just gotta make the most of it.”
