Tony Elliott on winning the ACC Title again: "A testament to our culture."

Clemson's Co-offensive coordinator spoke about the Tigers quick start against Miami in the ACC Championship game.

Opening statement:

"Happy for Coach Swinney, our fans, our players. First team in 29 years to go back to back to back. To see this group that was kind of counted out, especially offensively, to see these guys not listen to anybody outside of our walls, focus on what we can control. Really proud of how they responded when we came up short in New York. They made the right decision, they decided to be successful and here is the result."

On the opening drive:

“We been talking about the triple crown and we knew this was the last race until the playoff. So we wanted to start fast. Our guys knew how important it was for us to get a lead. Anytime that we can come out and open up with 14 points, 21 points, it takes the pressure off of our defense it allows them to be aggressive. So we always want to come with that first drive and score points.”

On getting back to the college football playoff:

“Right now we are still in the grind. This is what we do. A lot of these guys on this team, this is all they know. The biggest thing is a testament to our culture. To be able to put a team together every single year that understands what it takes to get to this level.”

Excitement of going to the Sugar Bowl:

“Really happy for our program. When Dabo lost here in Charlotte in the Meineke Bowl he said that this was going to be the best decade in Clemson football. We are closing in on that number of surpassing the wins in the 80’s and we still have a couple of years to go.”
