No. 1 Clemson (4-0, 3-0 ACC) hammered Miami 42-17 under Death Valley’s lights yesterday evening. No. 2 Alabama struggled to slow down Lane Kiffen’s Ole Miss offense in a 63-48 win, while No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs cruised past Tennessee in Athens.

Clemson picked up nine more first-place votes in the Coaches Poll than they had a week ago. In the AP the Tigers gained seven additional first-place votes continuing to solidify themselves as the clear-cut No. 1 team in America.

In the AP Poll, the ACC currently has three teams ranked in the Top 5 with No. 4 Notre Dame and No. 5 North Carolina trailing only Clemson, Alabama and Georgia.

The top-ranked Tigers travel to Georgia Tech next Saturday for a noon kickoff in Atlanta.
