Former Clemson quarterback Chase Brice is heading to Boone, N.C. to play for App State.

Brice announced the move on Wednesday afternoon that he will play for the Mountaineers in 2021. He transferred from Clemson following the 2019 season and headed to Duke to play for David Cutcliffe and the Blue Devils. Brice completed nearly 55 percent of his passes throwing for 10 touchdowns and 15 interceptions.

Brice already has his degree from Clemson, which he earned in May 2020 in parks, recreation and tourism management. Clemson fans will always remember him for coming in relief for Trevor Lawrence against Syracuse in 2018, leading the comeback for a 27-23 win on the way to a 15-0 national championship season.
