Trevor Lawrence, the now-former Clemson quarterback and presumptive No. 1 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, will have surgery on his non-throwing shoulder, according to a report by The Athletic. The surgery will be to repair the labrum in his non-throwing shoulder.

Before having surgery, Lawrence will throw for NFL teams on Feb. 12 (next Friday) instead of Clemson’s Pro Day. This will allow him to have the surgery earlier than if he waited until after the pro day event in Clemson.

The report says that doctors are optimistic that Lawrence will be ready for training camp.

The Jacksonville Jaguars hold the No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft, which begins on April 29.
