Defensive Back Amir Trapp to Transfer from Clemson
Clemson Sports Talk has heard rumors for a week now about a transfer brewing among the Clemson defensive backs and Monday the news finally broke.
Amir Trapp, a redshirt sophomore from Daniel High School in Clemson, has decided to transfer from Clemson.
Trapp will not travel with the team to New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl.
The defensive back played 57 defensive snaps during the 2017 regular season, 22 in ACC play, and only logged two tackles and zero pass breakups.
His father, James Trapp, played defensive back for Clemson from 1989-92, played 11 seasons in the NFL, and won a Super Bowl with the Ravens in 2000.
We are hearing that Trapp may stay in the upstate with Furman University as a possible destination.
