Jihaad Campbell (IMG Academy, Bradenton, FL) committed to Clemson football over Georgia, Florida, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State, Rutgers, and Texas A&M on Sunday.
Campbell was on the Clemson campus on June 8 and also made recent trips, all in June, to Florida (6/4), Ohio State (6/11), Oklahoma (6/11), and Georgia (6/18).
At 6-foot-3, 215-pounds, Campbell has linebacker size but is projected as a defensive end. In 2020, playing for Timber Creek High in Erial, New Jersey, where he played for three years before transferring to IMG, he lined up at linebacker, defensive end, and tight end.
Campbell, the No. 7 edge rusher according to 247Sports Composite, made 44 tackles and had seven sacks in six games.
With Campbell, Clemson has now added a fourth 2022 recruit in June after having just four since early March.
Kicker Robert Gunn started the commitment run on the 14th, followed by consecutive pledges by safety Sherrod Covil Jr. and cornerback Toriano Pride, respectively, on the 17th and 18th.
