Myrtle Beach receiver Adam Randall‍ was finally able to get on the football field after previous Myrtle Beach games were canceled due to Covid-19 cases and contact tracing.

On Friday, while facing a tough opponent in Oceanside Collegiate (SC), Randall quickly showed why he was a priority for the Clemson coaching staff. He caught a 43-yard touchdown pass with 8:19 remaining in the first quarter to give Myrtle Beach the early 7-0 advantage.

Randall finished the night with nine receptions for 205 yards with three touchdowns.

His touchdowns receptions covered 43, 58, and seven yards, and he added 80 rushing yards on eight possessions from the Rhino package, the Seahawks version of the wildcat quarterback formation, in the close 34-31 win over Oceanside.

Quarterback Cade Klubnik‍ played in his third game on Friday. Westlake (3-0) defeated Mansfield Summit (TX) 59-21 at Crusader Stadium on the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor campus. Klubnik completed 21-of-30 passes for 352 yards with six touchdowns and an interception. He also added 27 rushing yards and another score.

In three games, the five-star dual-threat passer has completed 60-of-84 pass attempts for 923 yards with 10 touchdowns and one interception. Additionally, he has 92 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

Klubnik is the only signal-caller in Clemson's 2022 recruiting class but not on Friday nights. Linebacker Jaren Kanak‍ took snaps as a wildcat quarterback and running back as well for Hays High (2-0) in 2020, but he is the starting quarterback in 2021. Kanak became the starter when senior Dylan Dreiling, a Tennessee baseball commit and 2022 MLB Draft prospect, told Hays head football coach Tony Crough that he would concentrate on baseball.

In Week One, Kanak had an outstanding debut against Wichita East High (KS). He passed for 162 yards with one touchdown and rushed for 248 yards with three touchdowns.

"He singlehandedly I thought offensively won the game," Wichita East head coach Ene Akpan told Catch It Kansas about Kanak's spectacular night

"[Kanak’s] speed, a kid that fast, you can’t make mistakes or you are going to pay for it. His speed, you are not lined up correctly, you are going to pay for it," said Akpan after watching Kanak rush for touchdowns of 17, 54, and 58 yards to lead Hays to a 35-6 victory.

For Week Two, Kanak led Hays to a 51-0 win over Fort Bend High (KS). He had 101 passing yards with three touchdowns (26, 13, 20) and 119 rushing yards including a 79-yard score.
