Clemson heads to Pittsburgh for the first time ever to take on the Panthers. The Tigers enter the game as an underdog for the first time since 2016 against Louisville. 

Saturday's matchup will feature two of college football's marquee units. Clemson enters the contest ranked second in the nation in scoring defense, allowing an average of only 12.5 points per game and trailing only the nation's top-ranked team — No. 1 Georgia — in that category. Pitt, meanwhile, enters the game ranked third in the nation in scoring offense at 48.3 points per game. The Panthers are one of only four teams in the nation averaging at least 45.0 points per game this season.

Good afternoon everyone! Clemson is about to kick things off against Pitt on the road (first time ever at Pitt) as an underdog. Can the offense get going and can the defense slow down Kenny Pickett and a lethal Pitt offense? We're about to find out.

What's going on Tiger Nation! I know I picked Pitt to win 31-20, but let's get after it! I gotta call it like I see it-- but I sure do hope I'm wrong.

Among players listed on Clemson's weekly depth chart released on Monday, the following players are not expected to be available for today's game: RB Michel Dukes, WR Frank Ladson Jr., WR Joseph Ngata, LB Jake Venables, WR E.J. Williams.

DJ U is picked off on the throw intended for Justyn Ross. DB definitely got away with some clear contact there. But in fairness, it wasn't a good throw from the sophomore.

Only 38 yards of total offense for Pitt so far. Really like how the secondary is holding up so far. Now you just need the offense to do something. We are scoreless with 4:48 to play in the first.

Matt Bockhorst is shaken up as we have an injury timeout. Two impressive throws from DJ -- the first to Ajou where he threw it on his right shoulder and then to Justyn Ross against the corner blitz. Let's see if the Tigers can finish the drive here.

Clemson is forced to punt but Will Shipley drops what would've been a walk in touchdown on a perfect throw from DJ. If that isn't basically Clemson's offense in a nutshell this year, I don't know what is. As much blame as DJ gets, his receivers don't help him out all the time.

What a catch by Jordan Addison, beating Nolan Turner for the Pitt TD on the rollout. It bought Kenny Pickett some time to make an incredible throw as well. That's a 13-play, 90 yard drive, not something you see often from the Clemson defense. 3:18 to play before the half with Clemson and Pitt tied at 7.

Taysir Mack beat Barrett Carter badly on 4th and 5. There was no safety help, either and that's a mismatch you want every time. Pitt takes their first lead of the afternoon at 14-7 with 40 seconds to play in the half.

HALFTIME: Pitt 14, Clemson 7 -- Bad sequence on defense to end the half as the Panthers punches it in on a blown coverage. Clemson's receivers are still dropping balls and DJ is missing throws, a recurring theme that we've seen throughout the year.

DJ U throws a pick six on a shovel pass that he threw right to the linebacker. Horrible start to the second half. Pitt up two possessions on the Tigers, 21-7 with 11:30 in the 3rd.

Looks like Dabo did finally have enough. Glad to see Taisun in there. Hopefully, if nothing else, watching from the sideline will help DJ refocus

It wasn't a perfect drive but I am impressed by DJs response from the benching. It may be too little too late for this game but it could be a moment of growth for the future.
