On Phil Mafah and Mason Trotter’s health:
"I think we've got a couple that'll be game-time decision, but nobody again kind of like the other day, I think they're all getting better but nobody that I'd ruled out right now."

On Trent Howards development:
"Oh, he's a good bit ahead. He's just got a little more time, although he battled some sickness last year with Mono and all that stuff. Trent is a savvy player-- going to be a really good player. He's basically a true freshman because he didn't get a lot of opportunities last year, but he knows what we're doing. He really understands what we do. He's about 295, so he's still undersized a little bit-- still developing, but he's got a great frame and gonna really be a good player. So he's got to be ready."

On Paul Tchio and Mitchell Mayes:
"Oh, yeah. No, they're gonna be great players. Tchio is a redshirt freshman. You know, that's just a hard position. He's super talented, but he's still putting it together. He's had a good week of practice. He's gotten a lot of work this week. So I was disappointed in him last week. He wasn't ready and it goes in on a draw and he gets beat inside. That's like OL 101. So just being ready. He's got all the tools. I don't have any doubt he's gonna be a good one."

On what’s held Troy Stellato back at wideout:
"A little bit of everything, but I will say this, he's really responded and he's making some good progress. We've got three games left, that we're gonna try to get something out of him. But a little bit, all of those things. First of all, he missed most of camp. He came in behind missed, he missed most of our skills and drills, he was hurt. The transition wasn't easy for him-- practice habits, speed of the game, playbook, you name it, all of it. I think him being able to kind of take a step back and really, really grow and learn. But the good thing is, he's really responded. I was just telling Grisham, yesterday, he's really improved than me. I'm excited-- because he's got all the tools."

On the importance of not turning the ball over:
"Oh, yeah, absolutely. I mean, we need to not score for the other team. That's first and foremost. Let's don't just turn it over, but let's don't score for the other team. That would be a good trend to change it as we start November here."
