Jahiem Lawson‍ (Daniel High, SC) committed to Clemson on Friday. He received an offer on Dec. 20 and took his official visit on Jan. 16.

The three-star 6'4, 215-pound defensive end is the younger brother of former Tigers defensive end (2013-15) and NFL veteran Shaq Lawson.

On a Twitter edit, Lawson simply said, "STAYING HOME" to announce his commitment to the Tigers.

Shaq congratulated Jahiem on Instagram, "Congrats Lil Bro let's keep that Lawson history going at Clemson. It's just the beginning."

Lawson, the 3A Upper State Lineman of the Year, had 75 tackles, 25 for loss, and 11 sacks as a senior which led to an invite to the Touchstone Energy Cooperatives All-Star Bowl in Myrtle Beach, SC.

He had an impressive year and concluded it by being named Defensive MVP for the North in the Touchstone Energy Cooperatives Bowl after sacking the South quarterbacks three times in the game.

Lawson is the third sibling of a former Tiger to pledge to the 2022 class. On Wednesday, linebacker Kobe McCloud‍, brother of Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Ray-Ray McCloud, committed and receiver Cole Turner‍, brother of safety Nolan Turner announced his intention to follow Nolan's path on Jan. 16.
