Clemson’s 2023 class added their second commitment moments ago as four-star quarterback Christopher Vizzina (Briarwood Christian School - Birmingham, Alabama) committed to the Tigers. Vizzina joins Nathaniel Joseph in the upcoming recruiting cycle.
Vizzina has excellent size at 6’3 and checks in around 200-pounds. Additionally, the Birmingham, Alabama prospect moves well in the pocket and has nice athleticism in the open field. Vizzina has a strong arm with plenty of zip on his throws based on his recruiting videos. He also appears to have good touch on deep-ball throws.
According to Maxpreps, the junior completed 68 percent of his passes for 2,065 yards with 16 touchdowns. He also rushed for 600 yards with 15 scores.
Recently, Vizzina, regarded as the No. 7 quarterback and No. 52 recruit in the class, participated at the Elite 11 Atlanta regional and earned a ticket to the finals in Los Angeles, CA. The Elite 11 finals is a four-day elite quarterback competition starting in June.
Vizzina committed to Clemson over Georgia, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, and Auburn.
We’ve reached out to Vizzina for a follow-up interview about his commitment to the Tigers.
