Lannden Zanders steps away from football after several shoulder injuries

Clemson safety Lannden Zanders is hanging up his football cleats after suffering several shoulder injuries over the past few seasons.

2020: Credited with 34 tackles (2.5 for loss), three pass breakups, a forced fumble and a sack in 394 snaps over 10 games (nine starts) … made first career start at Wake Forest and posted six tackles (one for loss) … added a tackle vs. The Citadel … contributed two tackles and two pass breakups vs. Virginia … registered four tackles (0.5 for loss) and a pass breakup vs. No. 7 Miami … added another four tackles vs. Syracuse … recorded a 12-yard sack among his three tackles vs. Boston College … registered two tackles at No. 4 Notre Dame … missed several weeks but returned to add four tackles in ACC Championship Game vs. No. 2 Notre Dame … added five tackles in Sugar Bowl vs. No. 3 Ohio State.
